Discarded Treasures

A decade had passed since my father's cherished award vanished, a relic of a professional triumph. Yet, fate, in its mysterious ways, chose to reunite him with the lost treasure. Labourers, painting the house, stumbled upon the award, its surface worn, but its significance unchanged. As I got to know about the award, memories long buried resurfaced. Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes, a mix of joy and sorrow. Joy, for the award's return, and sorrow, for the memories of other trophies, won through blood, sweat, and tears, now lost forever.
