NO STORM CAN LAST FOREVER
Often the rain drops fall so gently on the roof that you aren't able to tell it's raining if you don't draw the curtains of your bedroom. Sometimes the rain is so heavy and excessive that it drives people to evacuate their houses and they are forced to stay in temporary shelters.
Yesterday I got caught in heavy rain, an unpredictable outburst and a turmoil which was hard to handle while walking alone along a street. It seemed as if somebody was standing over my head and pouring buckets of water on me. For a moment, I got terrified after hearing the sky roaring and the dark grey clouds hanging over me. I really felt the absence of my parents and really wished they were there like they have always been in every storm of life. I didn't realize the fact that parents are like umbrellas in life. They can only stop you from getting wet in the rain but can't stop the rain. Fortunately, I had my umbrella but it was in my car which was parked a mile away. While I was running to get the umbrella, I thought about the strange signal that I was getting from ALLAH. We often have the necessary resources to face the storm that life throws at us but most of the time, those resources are locked up in the depth of our heart and we waste our time in trying to find them. By the time we find them, we have already been defeated by adversity.
Often we become apathetic in life until we face a severe storm. Whether loss of a job, health crisis, death of a loved one or financial struggle, ALLAH often brings storms in our lives to change our perspective, to shift the focus from ourselves and our lives to Him.
We are like a little branch that quivers during a storm, doubting our strength and forgetting that we are a tree -- deeply rooted to withstand all of life's upheavals.
Without rain, nothing grows so learn to embrace every storm of your life singlehandedly and courageously.
Beautiful and heart touching as always❤

DeleteThe storms of life are TESTS. They can either bring us close to Allah or vice versa. You described it in a very relatable way. 👍
ReplyDeleteThank you so much ma'am! This piece of writing is a blend of lessons learnt from my teachers and life.
DeleteSimply a masterpiece 🙌
ReplyDeleteEvery single word here touched my heart. It is a philosophy that i duely agree with. True we forget that Allah has made us a tree... but a tall tree needs heavy roots. The hieght of the tree depends on the strength of the roots... that rain you talked of is what it requires... so don't be scared... stat attached to the tree little branch... its not over till you say so

ReplyDeleteNo doubt sometimes a bad event crush us and we only think that why it happened and when it will be over. The wise thing is either it has changed our perspective n we have learnt something. And it also opens our eyes n hidden folds of onion. Even disguised things in a person.Life is a teacher .It always give you a lesson .It is ip to us that either we learn or burn.No use of lamentation.
